Web Content Accessibility Guidelines are a set of recommendations developed in response to enabling all Internet users to easily and transparently access the content of services, with particular emphasis on the needs of users with visual or auditory limitations. The standard defines different levels of fulfilment of the criteria - from a minimum level in which certain groups of people will be completely deprived of the possibility of familiarising themselves with the content of the service to a comfortable one, which means adapting the website in such a way that access to the content of the website is not restricted to any group of people.

The current version of the WCAG standard is version 2.1. The standard defines guidelines for alternative texts (alt), construction of navigation on the website and its accessibility from the keyboard level, use of contrasts on the website, use of video and Flash files and alternatives to them, the possibility of enlarging the website from the browser level or construction and description of forms on the website so that a disabled person can use them without difficulty.
